Being
on a school trip to Germany and asking a couple
in my finest German, in front of some of my non
German-speaking group, how to get to a cafe we were
looking for but had got lost. The couple replied,
"Sorry, we're English. We can't understand
you". I then asked them in English and they
looked as if to say "he's quite fluent".
